Day 27

Yesterday when I was at the water park with my son (and his friend, and my friend, and her 7-year-old daughter who is almost as tall as me), I got the following text message from victoria_dahl: "Where r u? Check ur twitter! *evil laugh*" I wrote back: "O GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE NOW?" But it turns out she had done something very sweet. She gave YA Librarian Tales an interview about how much she loves me. Thank you Vicki and YA Librarian Tales! I really appreciate it, and everything she says has at least some truth to it.

I have really been getting around on the Girlfriends' Cyber Circuit:

Carrie Jones asks, "What's the goofiest thing you've ever done, or the bravest?" and if you were at the Harlequin party last year, you know what's coming.

Kristina Springer asks, "What is your most favorite (or, weirdest, craziest, funniest, most touching etc.) comment you’ve received from a fan?"

Melissa Walker wants to hear the story behind the beautiful cover of Endless Summer.

Suzanne Young asks the perfect question for the Public Shame Writing Challenge: "If you could take one literary character to prom, who would it be, and why?"

Well! I don't know about you, but I am all tuckered out from a month of doing everything in the world except writing. But the month is not quite over, and I am going to try my best to make it to my 30,000 words over the long weekend.

How about you?

Your goal for May

Your goal for yesterday (Thursday)

Your achievement yesterday

Your goal for the long weekend

Meet me back here on Tuesday. I have some proms to give out.

And don't forget--Tuesday we start the Public Shame Writing Challenge for June. It is dumbed down for the summer. We'll be checking in only once a week. You need it to keep yourself on track, so be sure to come back, and bring a friend. Otherwise the whole summer may pass you by without a single word written, and you will wake up in September and find yourself going with shame to Homecoming.
