Day 27

Great news! The Naughty Book Kitties posted the first review of Forget You, and they think it is better than Going Too Far! You know how I love Going Too Far, but you always want your current book to be as good as or better than your previous book. Otherwise people will start saying, Jennifer Echols? I think she wrote one good book a long time ago, but now she just writes crap. She moved to central Florida and spends her days chain-smoking and drinking appletinis. She scares children with her large hats and her capes. She had amassed a large fortune with the royalties from Going Too Far, but she blew it all on statuettes of pot-bellied frogs for her weedy garden. She no longer has her original teeth. I think I saw her on a recent episode of COPS and she was not one of the cops, if you know what I mean.

Okay, Day 27:

During April I am finishing the proofs of Forget You (CHECK!), dealing with the ARCs (CHECK!), and writing 40,000 words (hmm).

Yesterday I said I would write 1666, and I wrote 1691! I am enjoying this foreign concept of WIN.

Today I will write 1666.

Et vous?
