Vicki’s new book is out today!

A Rake’s Guide to Pleasure is the latest from my critique partner, victoria_dahl.

TRUE PLEASURE...
Raised by a titled, yet degenerate, father, Emma Jensen never imagined the gambling lessons she learned as a child would one day serve her well. When she finds herself in dire need of money, she concocts the alias of Dowager Lady Denmore and sets off to bewitch London’s noblemen by engaging them in games of chance. The fact that respectable ladies do not gamble does not intimidate her in the least. But the darkly handsome Duke of Somerhart does—for he’s awakened a deep, sensual hunger in her…

IS ALWAYS WORTH THE GAMBLE…
The dashing Duke of Somerhart has the notorious reputation of being one of London’s most incurable rogues. When he meets the alluring Lady Denmore, he is immediately intrigued. Her recklessness and innocence intertwined titillates him as no other woman ever has. But what secret is the lovely Lady Denmore hiding? He’s determined to find out. But first he must seduce her until she surrenders completely to his most wicked desires...

"So hot the pages smoke. Don't miss this book!"
- Eloisa James, NYT Bestselling Author

I have to say, I have read seven of Vicki’s books--two historicals out now from Kensington, two contemporary romantic comedies out next year from HQN/Harlequin, and three paranormals I expect to sell any second--and this is my favorite. I think. Either this one or Talk Me Down, the contemporary coming out next January. It’s hard to say because her voice is so different in each one. Her contemporary voice is jaunty, yo, as she is online and in real life. Her historical voice is exquisite and wistful like she has turned into some serious writer person you don’t know. If you enjoyed To Tempt a Scotsman, you will love this new book.

One warning: See her cover? See how the characters are nekked? That is because her characters are in fact often nekked in the book. So if you are under 17 or are in general disturbed by the nekked, avoid Vicki’s books. That goes for all of them. Look:

Nekked.
