Happy birthday, blog!

It's been about a year since I started this blog. I am reminded of this because my first post ever was about getting a business membership to Sam's Club. When I bought my membership, I happened to have my business card with nephele's contact info in my purse. The business membership would have gotten me into Sam's at 7 a.m. instead of 8 a.m. like the masses, should I have had the wherewithal to go shopping for crates of chewing gum at 7 a.m. And now my membership is about to expire.

My husband and I thought about renewing our membership. The truth is that we don't have time for Sam's. We don't drag ourselves the mile down the hill from our house to save $2 on beans very often. We can hardly remember to get our hair cut and put gas in the truck.

So we have planned a Sam's shopping extravaganza on the last day of our membership, to include the following:

- Vats of orange juice

- Many reams of paper

- Pallets of frozen spinach

- Christmas gifts that are not very very obviously purchased at Sam's (come on, Alan, you know you wanted that 100-piece Rubbermaid food storage set)
