Stats for Monday

Chapters finished: 0. I fell asleep while writing, as if it were a Disney movie. I am sure I had Magical Adventures that would make a great screenplay, but I can't remember what they were.

Times glasses lost: 2.

Miles run: 0. It was my day off. I'm still on track for the 10-K Vulcan Run on Saturday. If I finish, I will never take my number off.

Hours worked by husband: 14.

Halloween candy calories ingested: 6,000.

And I STILL haven't read Bridget Jones's Diary, but it is On My Shelf.

You say: networking. I say: panic attack.

For my local Romance Writers of America chapter annual luncheon on Saturday, I’m in charge of purchasing awards for the likes of Sherrilyn Kenyon, Debra Webb, Linda Howard, and Gayle Wilson for selling a gazillion books. I know Gayle, but I haven’t met the others, and I’m shorter than everybody, so I’m hoping to blend in and eat my chicken salad. Maybe the president and vice president, Elizabeth Borders and Carla Swafford, two hilarious ladies whom I expect to sell to Harlequin Blaze any day now, will present the awards. But I have a sneaking suspicion that I am expected to Speak in Public.

The keynote speaker is Connie Brockway. victoria_dahl met her and had a lovely conversation with her in the airport at the RWA national convention in Reno. I’m sure I will manage to ding her car.
